Atlantic City’s Tropicana Casino has recently been promoting high stakes table games as a central feature of their casino. Some months this strategy has been profitable for Tropicana, but not last October. Last October Don Johnson, the “Beast of Blackjack,” was back from more. Johnson managed to add another $2 million (~R16,7 million) to his approximately $15 million winning spree that lasted from December last year until April 2011. Johnson disclosed the amount of his winnings to the press, which was later corroborated by Tony Rodio, Chief Executive Officer of Tropicana Casino. Johnson merely said of his recent win “I went back in and did very well.”
