We’ve added a new book review to our Blackjack Books section. This time the book reviewed is Bill Zender’s Casino-ology: the Art of Managing Casino Games. Although this book is written for executives in the gaming industry, suggesting ways in which to improve casino rules to improve profits, this book also offers advantage players insight in the logic behind casino game protection and the limits of the tactics casinos may apply. There is a whole section of this book devoted to blackjack, investigating the effects and efficiency of , rules surrounding mid-shoe entry, pay-outs, etc. Zender has spent considerable portions of his career on both the executive and the civilian sides of the table, and for any player looking to improve their understanding of casino logic on the opposite side this is an interesting book.
