Basic Blackjack book review

Basic Blackjack

There’s a new book review up in our blackjack books section today. This week we’ve reviewed Stanford Wong’s Basic Blackjack. Despite the title, this is not a book to which to turn if you are looking to learn basic strategy (though Wong has written other books for just that purpose too). Rather, this book tells you how to adapt your strategy whenever you come across blackjack rules that you are not accustomed to and where following standard basic strategy charts does not result in optimal play. You can then play on regardless and lose money, or you can consult the almost 60 charts in this book and make the best of the strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities presented by different sets of rules regarding splitting, doubling, different payouts, and so forth. Not eager to let a foreign casino rob you of your shirt? Take a look at this book.
