Too Eager to PlayNow

British Columbian gambling website PlayNow.com went down almost as soon as it was launched, and the new Canadian site will remain shut down for the time being. Computer glitches lost player winnings, and put the privacy and money of many players at risk. Within 10 days landmark casino turns into landmark flop.

New Blackjack History Section Up: Modern History

Today we've added another page of blackjack history to our Blackjack History section. This page is on the modern history of blackjack, from 1950 to 1970. This is the period in which basic strategy was mathematically developed, and Edward Thorp published the book that would change casino blackjack forever.

Greeting the First Table Games

On Tuesday the first live table games section opened up for an 8-hour test run in Pennsylvania casino Mohegan Sun. After the recent legalization of table games including blackjack, locals were thrilled by the inaugral promotions that drew huge crowds.

US Federal Government Finally Signs Off on Blackjack Deal

After Florida's Governor Charlie Crist's 2008 agreement over blackjack exclusivity with the Seminole tribe was declared illegal, Seminole blackjack has occupied a position of legal obscurity. Now a $1 billion agreement finally clears the situation up.
